Pam is an outdoorsy person in the truest sense and says sleeping in the canopy is genuinely the only way to experience a Pacific Northwest forest the way it deserves to be experienced. The logging crews who work the concession are early risers, which Pam says naturally syncs your circadian rhythm with the forest, which she means kindly. The chainsaw sounds at dawn she calls the original alarm clock, old growth edition, which guests find charming once they're fully awake. The mist in the morning canopy is the most beautiful thing Pam knows.

The forest canopy stay is exactly as advertised and more. Pam's circadian rhythm theory via chainsaw holds up — I was awake and caffeinated by 6 a.m. naturally.

The forest is breathtaking. The platform is solid. Pam was available every time I had a question. Old growth edition indeed.

Fell asleep to owls and woke to the logging crew starting up about two ridges over. By the time they got closer I was already showered and ready. Perfect timing.

We loved the forest immersion. The crew did work Pam's side of the ridge on day two which was unexpected but the sounds were invigorating. Pam was apologetic and proactive.

Response from host

The concession boundary can shift week to week — I check the schedule every Friday and post updates! Glad the sounds felt invigorating. The platform was never at risk.

The platform height gives you a canopy perspective that changes everything. Woke up in the clouds on morning three. Pam's recommendations for local trails are excellent.

Off-season logging treetop stay is deeply peaceful. Crew wasn't running that week. Silent forest, misty mornings, stellar stay. Pam is gold.

A tree approximately forty feet from the platform was taken down by the crew on day one. I watched it fall. The platform held. The view changed considerably. Host was responsive and acknowledged the situation.

Response from host

The concession crew moved their schedule up that week — my sincere apologies! The platform sits outside the active harvest zone and you were safe the whole time. The new view is actually excellent once the light hits the gap.
