Getting people truly off the grid and into nature is Gail's passion, and this is as off-grid as it gets in a literal sense. The tent is rated for summer use and summer is technically still happening on the icefield during your stay window. Guests consistently tell her the midnight sun is worth every layer, and she believes them because she's never personally spent a night here in winter. The views are genuinely unlike anything on the platform — you will not forget this trip.

The midnight sun is incredible. The tent is cozy for two if you wear everything you own. Gail's tips were spot on.

Truly off the grid. Ice stretches as far as the eye can see in every direction. The silence is spiritual.

The icefield view is legitimately stunning. I lost two toes to frostbite but kept the other eight and honestly the photos were worth it.

Sorry to hear about the toes — this listing is summer-rated and July is really the sweet spot! Glad you got the shots.

Nothing like this anywhere. Woke up to pure white in every direction and felt like the last person alive in the best way.

Gail set up the tent for us and her note on wind anchoring was helpful. The glacier moaning at night adds so much ambiance.

Arrived in September which may have been a mistake. The tent stakes pulled out on night two and the tent went about thirty meters east. Host was responsive.
Response from host
September is technically still on the books but July and August are the peak window — I always say that in the listing! Glad you made it back. The ice anchors I added last year should help future guests.
