Barb got into hosting because she had this container sitting empty at the port and thought why not, and she stands by that decision. She has added a plug strip and a welcome mat and says the corrugated steel walls keep the temperature dynamic, which keeps your body on its toes metabolically. The port activity is round the clock, which she says you really do stop noticing, though she has not personally verified a timeline on that. It is genuinely a one-of-a-kind stay and the price reflects the honesty of the situation.

Barb's plug strip placement and welcome mat transform this container into a home. The port activity is round the clock and I genuinely did stop noticing it.

The corrugated steel walls keep the temperature dynamic in a way that woke my body up. Barb is very positive and the price is remarkable.

Clean, functional, and close to everything in Long Beach. The port crane sounds become white noise. Barb was helpful and friendly.

Industrial chic at a price point that can't be argued with. The container stays cool in the morning and warm by afternoon which is exactly what I want.

The port view is surprisingly beautiful at night with all the crane lights. Barb's welcome mat is somehow the most welcoming mat I've ever stepped on.

The container was moved approximately ten feet during my second night. I did not feel it happen but my position relative to the port was different in the morning. Barb was responsive and confirmed this was an irregular port logistics event.

Response from host

That was a one-time repositioning by the port authority — completely harmless and I've made arrangements to prevent future moves during bookings! Very sorry for the spatial disorientation. Barb here and I take this seriously.
