Nadya has been hosting on the platform longer than anyone she knows and she says the Black Sea view from out here is genuinely unlike anything you will book anywhere else on the platform or off it. The military vessels in the distance add a dramatic backdrop that travel photographers absolutely love and she has had several reach out after their stay to thank her specifically. Life vests are under the bench and she includes that in the welcome note, which is laminated and bungee-corded to a post because she is a thoughtful host. She says the floating feeling becomes something you crave after your first night.

Off-season Black Sea on a floating platform is a mood that doesn't exist anywhere else. Nadya thought of everything from the extra blanket to the waterproof journal.

A helicopter circled the platform for about twenty minutes one afternoon without explanation. Nadya said this was normal and I chose to believe her. The sunsets are truly extraordinary. Host was very responsive.
