Off-Grid Base Station Studio w/ Optimal Signal and Desert Solitude

RF radiation · High-voltage equipment · No pacemakers · Remote location
Skip is a cell infrastructure enthusiast and this base station was the obvious next step after his ham radio phase — he just had more space to work with. The futon is positioned for optimal signal strength, which Skip says is genuinely a perk that no hotel on earth can offer. Guests report unusually vivid dreams, which he attributes entirely to the desert quiet and the satisfying sense of being very alone out there. The stargazing from the base of the tower on a clear night is something he's very proud of.

Perfect signal. Perfect stay. Skip's desert-quiet theory about the vivid dreams is compelling. I believe it fully.

The futon positioning for signal strength is Skip's innovation and it really does feel premium in there. Desert stars are breathtaking.

I had the most vivid, cinematic, oddly complete dreams I have ever experienced. Skip says it's the desert quiet. Who am I to argue.

Slept like a log, woke with a minor headache that cleared by afternoon. Skip was attentive and had ibuprofen ready which I appreciated.

The infrastructure aesthetics are actually interesting once you accept them. Skip is very enthusiastic about antennas in a charming way. Good value.

Phone lost all connectivity for forty-eight hours after the stay — not during, after. Dentist found unusual density in my molar on a routine x-ray two weeks later. Skip was responsive and said he couldn't explain either thing.
Response from host
Connectivity resets and dental findings are outside what I can speak to — but Skip here, and I take guest wellbeing seriously! Would love to host again and I've added an FAQ on signal exposure for transparency.

The ham radio backstory is charming. The futon is genuinely comfortable. The buzz from the equipment is a surprisingly effective white noise. Will return.
